I have been through Enterprise many times and it currently only seems to be a gas station, a restaurant, a junk shop and a computer repair shop - on three of the 4 corners of the crossroads. Did it use to have more to it? When we were spending more time at the lake, we went to church in Quinton and attended a junk auction almost every Saturday night in Kinta.

Yes, just south of the four corners was the main part of the town of Enterprise by the church, school and a cotton gin. There is a Cemetery there also with markers over 150 - 200 years old. A number of his family are buried there.

His uncle's family live in the Quinton area south of Longtown Creek...Wagnon Ranch.

I think I got some cool looking cloud pics of the storm out east!!! Will try to post them later!!! Lynn

I wonder if that little fabric store run by those two little elderly ladies in Quinton is still open?

I can ask his cousins...

These are milk goats, dwarf nigerian dairy, to be specific. Yes, to answer the question, selling and keeping. My wife has a couple out of the spring kidding that she wants to keep and 1 from fall. Just come on out and take some home with you. There are several to choose from.

It's a scenic little drive.

Milk from this breed is the only goat milk that I like (Read will drink because it doesn't have that aftertaste, you know what I mean.) and at double the butterfat of the large dairy breeds, it makes great cheese or soap.

Have a great day all and be safe with the storms.

HAHAHA

Just saw that you are in NV. Well, I really don't need goats. We don't have anywhere to keep them (that didn't stop us with chickens) and I hear that they tear things up, I don't particularly like any milk, but my hubby loves goat milk. If they are dwarf does that mean they keep that cute baby look?

how much do they normally run- i am thinking it would be great to have them! i am googling them now

so would those peppers be different than cayenne pepper? DE i have to order online- unless someone decides to sell some at poops..hint!!

wonder if the windex and vinegar would work on dogs with fleas???

If people need DE I can bring some to POOPS with me. The feedstore I buy it from in Norman sells, 5lb, 10lb, 20lb (I think) and 50lbs bags. I usually by 10lb bags, for I believe $15 but I will need to get back to you on the price. The reason I only get a 10lb bag at a time is because of storage issues. If there are enough people interested I can buy a 50lb bag and we can split it up. Windex and vinegar will probably work temporarily but will have to applied daily to be effective. For flea and tick control adding brewer's yeast and a little garlic powder (only a little and it has to be the powdered form because heavy doses and fresh garlic can be toxic to dogs), is very helpful.

You can give garlic powder to chickens, as well but I have heard that it can be tasted in the eggs.

Now that you mention that, I do recall that there is a church South of the intersection, on the West side of the highway. I had a quilt top finished by a lady in Enterprise a few years ago. She had a professional set up for machine quilting and did a nice job - and didn't charge an arm and an leg either. I had bought an old quilt top at an auction and she turned it into a nice single sized quilt. Beez Quilts I think it was.

Yes, I have noticed they are way early, I thought it might be b/c of the unseasonable hot weather we had early on?

i love watching the hens try to catch butterflies and hopping bugs- it is hysterical and they can get moving pretty fast!
