they are hacting now so far everthing is hatching well but the BBR arucanas only 2 so far

out of 47 eggs

i have a lot of died in hsell i have three from the last hatch and is looking lkie one roo and 2 hens so im

for a start but the NNs are hatching like popcorn

Joe them bantams was doing great then a dog broke a hunk of wood off the little coop they was in and the rest is history. I realy need to put up a fence but not sure how to do one on this ROOOOCKY hillside I live on. And for some reason my bator has terrible luck doing bantam eggs, I dont know why but its true. Ive got 35 game eggs in the bator now out of a toppy and random hens for a friend but in 3 weeks it will need to be filled again. Ill send you a pm on here. I did manage to get some nekkid necks thoug, there probly my favorite brown egg layer. Hatchery stock, not a lot of colour variety but a few are darlings. Got two mean looking cockerals and 8 pulletts.

I need that list of what all you raise again lol.

Evening everyone. I hope today was a good Mother's Day for all the moms out there. I got to talk to both of my kids today, and wish my daughter a happy 1st Mother's Day. Would like to have seen them all, but they don't live nearby, so talking with them was great!

Looks like everything is getting in gear for POOPS. I wish I could be there, but it won't work out this time around. My son's college graduation is the same day, so I'll be celebrating in Springfield, MO with him.

My Polish chicks are getting their head feathers. I'll post some pics later if I can get some good shots of them. They always want to look away from the camera. Their rear ends aren't very attractive, but I'll see what I can do.

I just went to candle the eggs & had 12 that were clears. There were a couple that looked like they might be blood rings but I wasn't sure so I left them.

Happy Mother's Day!!!

Late posting tonight but have been busy all day with one thing or another.

Had a wonderful night at the auction and then dinner at Trivets with Buster, Carla, Gerald, Al, Laura (it was so nice to see you, it has been too long), Maribeth and Dean. My brother-in-law wanted me to tell everyone how glad he is to have met everyone and he enjoyed going to his first chicken auction.

Also wanted to thank everyone for there advice last night about my hen and taking care of rooster spurs. Had 10 sets of spurs popped off my roos before 8 am this morning. My hen has her first wound packing today with sugar. I did add some antiboitic ointment to the guaze pad to hold the sugar on the wound. Also made 15 chicken aprons this morning so all my hens are sporting some rather outlandish tiger striped and psychodelic leopard print aprons. It is quite cute!

For Mother's Day my DD gave me the movie "The King's Speech". It is an excellent movie and I recommend it to everyone. Other then that it has been a rather easy day.

I am rather excited about next weekend. Oh and I have my reservations at the Budget Inn made. Yeah!!!!

Well I better get off here and get ready for bed. Morning comes rather early for me.

Yes there are still 18 ( I think that's right). The good news also is the Turkey eggs I have in there are also doing good no clear one's!!!

Are you going to be anywhere close to Muskogee this week? Or anyone meeting up with you that is coming this way?

Good evening everyone!

Well I spent my Mother's day just like any other day. Spent most of the day up at the Cement barn cleaning it after the sale.
Then off to Atwoods to get chicken, pig, and horse feed.
Then off to Western Sizzling with the kiddos to buy myself a Ribeye, medium, with fries, & shrimp.
Came home, took care of the animals, put hay out and finally waiting on Coffee. Kids in bed in 10 minutes.

Hope everyone else enjoyed thier day.
