I think its Coccidiosis. I have been treating them and most are doing better. Some of my little ones are starting to look droopy now. It seems like when they get five or six weeks old they start getting sick, then as they get older they get better. I did lose one grown hen that had just hatched 12 chciks. I don't know what happened to her. God just called her to the big hen house in the sky.

does anyone close to the city have any hatching eggs for sale I just want about 6 I will be getting a shipment in Middle of week and want to incubate some locals with some shipped as a test. I am not worried about breed except no silkies and I want something pure no crosses whaite layers would be great. I know I am asking huge with the weather and such but hoping

I hope I am not too late. I have some eggs that should be fertile although I don't know how active the ole rooster has been during the cold snap. They are Welsummers. Where are you located? I am East of OKC. Choctaw area,

How many do you have and how much do you want for them, not to late as the others did not arrive today. I live in on the other side of the city but I can pick up anytime today or tomorrow before dark not all that great of a night driver (the eyes are going early).

I am not sure but I know I could have six or so pure Welsummers by tomorrow. I could have more eggs available if you want any crosses. For your purposes now, I would just give them to you.

I have eight Welsummer eggs right now. I should get a few tomorrow. The only thing about these are that I do have some young Campine roos in the pen with them.
I think the big brood rooster has probably kept them under control. However it is possible that one of the sneaky lil guys may have gotten lucky with one of the Welsummer hens. So I can't guarantee that they are 100% pure Welsummer. Let me know if you want to come get them tomorrow.
