Hey everyone! I am a new member to Backyard Chickens! I have used this website for resources but I finally joined and made my own account. I am from Oklahoma and have been raising chickens/ducks since 2014. I'm a full time Realtor and a lover of all animals! We purchased a big piece of property in 2013 coming from the city and it was a bit of a culture shock but I wouldn't trade a thing! I'm excited to get to know some other chicken owners and use this as a great resource to keep my chickies healthy and safe!

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
1/2" hardware cloth and hot wires are your best friends in the defense against predators.
I have tons of hardware cloth but Hotwire for my chickens isn't something I have experience in. I use It for my horses but haven't found something that is affordable and easy to use for my chickens. I'm all about using what I have until I HAVE to buy something! Thank you so much for the response and if you have a good recommendation for hot wire, let me know! :)

Hello and welcome to BYC. I hope that you enjoy your time here.

This is a useful link of “How to” BYC guides to take a look at announcements-feedback-issues-guides.3. I’d suggest including your location using the guide in the link. You can use this link to contact members in your area - Find your State's thread.

Best wishes
