I am new to chickens and to rural living as a whole. I bought a house with seven acres and was given a dozen White/Cornish rock chickens the next week.

14-18 total birds

Right now I have Twelve white/Cornish rock chickens that are 5 weeks, I also have a young white turkey, three brown chicks that I can't I identify, and I have a nine month old Rhode Island Red rooster and hen that I bought yesterday to protect my flock.

I found backyard chickens by googling. This site kept coming up for the different chicken related questions.

My hobby includes training in MMA.

I have a blonde wife and three blonde kids 5, 8, and 11-years-old. I have a 5 1/2' Red-Tailed boa constrictor, a Jack Russell terrier (for the rats), and a German Shepherd (for the coyotes). I work with soldiers at Fort Sill.
