yea those are southern remedies, you can also rinse your mouth with kerosene when you have a toth ache, or use it to stop the bleedin when you lose 1

mom'sfolly :

meat tenderizer for bee stings and fire ant bite. The enzymes in the meat tenderizer dissolve the protein based venoms.

It really does work! I wrap an ice cube in one layer of a washcloth, or whatever, dampen it and sprinkle it with meat tenderizer. Reallly takes the pain out fast.

Cobwebs are good for stopping bleeding. Messy, but effective.

Yeah, pee in a cup and pour it in an ear for an earache
Rub the dipstick with oil on it on a sting
The tobacco and spit for a sting also
Get a particular old woman to blow in a baby's mouth to get rid of thrush

Give me a while. I am sure that I know lots more.

honey and apple cider vineger mixed half and half to paint onto wounds..grandma used this for cattle ,horses and kids. Stung like holy heck but we never got infections or scars from even the deepest cuts or the worst scrapes. Strong black coffee for asthma attacks...I still use this for my asthma. It only works on mild to moderate attacks but for me it stops them flat in their tracks.

I used to work with a woman, from the south, who grew up with these. Told me once her throat was so sore she skipped the sugar and just drank straight kerosene. OMG, lucky to be alive. Said her dad used to pee in a bottle and her mom would put it in their ears when they had an earache.

My grandma loved caster oil and wintergreen rubbing alcohol. She would use one or the other for all health problems. I never complained of ANYTHING around that woman.

My head sweats alot in the summer as I have thick hair. I rinse with vinegar once a week and it always makes my hair soft and takes out the excess grease. Witch hazel works too.

Love witch hazel, I rinse my hair with it, and the dog.

asafoedita for toothache. Gramma would have it in a little pouch and you placed it between your tooth and cheek. Mostly for impacted teeth, it would draw the infection out. But it tasted and smelled so awful! The thing is, it worked.
