Olandsk Dwarf Chickens

Awesome! I would like some Swedish Flower Hens. My max is 6. All are healthy 12 week pu
llets. Should something happen, I will contact you for eggs.

Yes, I have lots of Swedish Flower Hen eggs. They have been laying steady even with all the heat and crazy rain storms we have been having in TN. Just send me a PM when ready.
Oh my gosh, what a handsome young man, and lovely ladies. Very nice trio!
Thanks! So how many different "colors" are there of the Dwarfs?

I am stalking this thread because these little birds are so beautiful. I think if they had crests like the flower hens that they would be my perfect chicken.

That is fabulous! I love seeing the little bantie boys next to their large fowl buddies. You know that in their little bantie brains the sizes are reversed...

My broody hatched 3 out of 5 viable eggs - the other 2 never woke up. Grrrr.
2 more broodies on dwarf eggs - let's see if they have better results.

Pics of the broody with the babies are on the computer at home. I will try to get them posted tonight! (I know, I have said that before...)

Can't wait to see the photos! I just love these little chickens. They just let me pick them up and hold them. So friendly! It is starting to look like I have a pair in the two little ones I hatched out. They are growing like crazy!

OK, here goes.

First, Lisbet with the first of her 3 chicks to hatch:

Here are the first 2 to hatch - comparing notes:

Here are some of the 2 week olds in the brooder - you can see that they were very sleepy during the photo session!

I have a 2 month old black mottled japanese bantam cockerel in with the babies - he was getting picked on my his group, so I put him in with the babies. They love him and spend lots of time snuggling with him!

I love seeing the colors show up in their feathers. Usually the brown and black show up first, as below, with the white to follow.

They are like little gemstones - watching the colors develop day by day is just amazing.

Here is a picture of the chick that was pure white with a few light brown spots when he hatched - now about 4 weeks old. None of my subsequent hatches have had that coloring - it will be interesting to see how the next few groups (under the broodies) hatch out.

I just collected the last few eggs to make up a dozen tonight - I don't plan to set these, so if anyone is interested in buying some eggs please pm me!

All these pictures of sleepy babies is making me sleepy - goodnight BYC!
