old eggs

probably depends on the temperatures. Here it's staying refrigerator cool through most of the day, so I don't worry about it. But come next summer... I'm sure I'll worry about this. I'd think they can handle a day without spoiling, but I'm interested to hear more experienced answers.

unwashed eggs can stay at room temp for a few days (70?) Remember, the hens don't sit on them until they have what they consider to be enough, so they will keep for a little while, anyways. I often go a couple days without picking up the eggs, and then on the counter for another day or two before using or washing and refridgerating. Got lazy, somehow. And hubby won't pick up eggs, but he will feed over the fence....he's a city boy, and afraid of the rooster! Tee-hee.....
