He is likely a hatchery quality Dutch. The hatcheries tend to mix their Dutch birds with OEGs, which is why he has such pale legs. His legs should be slate, and his beak is too light as well.

The spangling on his chest is either from age (over 3 years old) or poor conditions. I tend to think both, as his comb looks like it has been subjected to extreme cold and he has had frostbite.

My honest reply is to not breed him at all. He does not meet the Standard for Dutch and would not produce anything you could take to any level of show.

Keep him as a pet, certainly. But he is not breeding quality.

If you're looking for a good Light Brown Dutch male, there are lots of breeders who would no doubt sell you one for not very much money, people often have extra males. I no longer breed Dutch, so can't help you there, sorry.
