and tell us a bit about the bird...what characteristics you find appealing or flaws you may be working on.

I love the breed but am in no way capable of judging if the competition gets good...so if their is someone that is knowledgable of this breed and would like to help, please pm me. The winning birds will be ones who most conform to the standard and have overall best appeal.

Variety: Self blue, OEGB (Have heard it called Lavender too).

Age: 6 or 7 months.

Gender: Pullet

Name: "Laverne"

Laverne, is a little sweetheart. Hope bantams are okay? Her closest chicken friend is "Shirley", another OEGB. Shirley is a quail variety. Where one goes, the other is soon to follow.
Lavernes favorite thing is BREAD! She screams with delight if she sees a slice! And must have it. She is shy, except for bread time!
Laverne does not like to be held but, likes to cuddle once she is held.
Her voice has to be her down fall. You'd think she was being culled, she is so loud, when excited by BREAD!

ETA: I realized the pic was a few months old so took this one on 12/23.
Enjoy!

Variety: Crele, OEGB
Age: 9-10 months.
Gender: Pullet and cockerel
Name: james and victoria

James is the meanest little squirt every time i get in the cage he flogs me he tries for the head, sometime he will catch me off gaurd. but if anyone else handle him he is nice as can be, and to think such an attitude can come from a 8 inch tall chicken

Cocky is a very sweet cockerel and doesn't mind being held or just perching on my finger. I did the standard comb cut for OEG but it needs to be cleaned up ...(LONG STORY) I have his mate in coop too they are a perfect couple:eek:)
