Old English game hen hatch a duck! Need help!

I have had my old partridge Wilkie raise 7 Muscovy duck and recently my old English game hen pullet had disappeared after her second day of laying egg. Five days later I found her in a duck nest with only one egg I brought the egg home and let her sit on it. Today it hatch but I never seen when exactly is it okay to let him outside with her. When my Wilkie hatch hers I wasn't here and it was a nest outside on my garden, unlike this hen who was in someone property that hate chicken and will kill them. How many day is he suppose to stay indoors with her before letting him out?

I keep my ducklings and mamas fenced in for around 3 weeks. for the ducklings safety since i have other flock members that may hurt them when so tiny. I'd at least keep her and the duckling penned up a week, and away from neighbors property or you may end up with 2 dead. By 1 week they are stronger and able to keep up with mama better. 3 would be ideal but understand some can't do that.
