do you have your Orps food close enough so she doesn't have to go far, she may not want to leave her eggs. if you treated her she should be over the worms. maybe try to intice her to eat some scrambled eggs mixed with a little yogurt sometimes something special will perk them up enough to eat.

her wormer is in the food, and she dosent even have to get off her nest for her food

Isn't he FABULOUS! VERY light blue (what I'm after) with FABULOUS feathered legs and a clean middle toe. My cup TRULY runneth over ....

The egg he hatched out of (Ann's - a Black Copper Marans)

Just a glimpse of those fabulously feathered legs .... (feathered shanks are an issue with my Blue Coppers so far. This little one gives me TREMENDOUS hope!)

I'm sure I've missed a bunch of hatchings and peeps since we were without power for 18 hours! Finally catching up on the 48 posts - phew! About to get another storm - hoping the power stays this time. I've got a generator for fridge, but DH won't let me use it for computer time and it's soooo hard to read things on my iphone screen. My ipad is needing charge!

Congrats to all the broodies and their babies!

Beautful!! Congrats.

The most BRILLIANT thing about hatching during a heat wave - new chicks actually come out from under mom so we can stare at them. I will NEVER get tired of it ....

Truly fascinating to watch a broody mom with her kids. (And Naima's first is REALLY looking like an alpha male. He's already giving Naima the goods.)

1st my cat killed another weasel! This one was full size, not a youngster like the last one. Sir William is the man! He was just William until the 1st weasel kill. Then I knighted him

. Here he is. He turned 9 Easter Sunday.

and being a weasel was killed i checked on everyone. And found my best broody Mama was having her hatch. I heard peeping and you can see a few broken shells. love that girl!

All hail Sir William! A Knight of the highest order! Haha! Congrats on the demise of the weasel.

And congrats on the new fuzzy butts! Can't wait to see pics of them.

I have to admit I was about to whine about my broody's chicks and not being able to see them so well. But I guess it was the weather, late winter and early spring, they were too cold to come out so much...maybe.

Gorgeous chicks and pretty momma. :)

My Salmon Faverolle is broody again! Her first batch of babies hatched April 14. She must love being a Mamma! Babies are due right around July 17.
