This might be a subject for a different thread but....has anyone heard that using ACV in the drinking water makes the shells too hard for chicks to hatch out? A clerk at TSC told me she learned this in workshop she attended.

AFter the chicks started to die because the mother struggles to keep them warm i had no option but to give them to someone with a heat lamp in the shed. I give them to the woman i got My mother Orpington off but only 5 chicks survived, 2 boys and 3 girls, but she says the mother is fine so thats goodI almost forgot about them. Adorable.

The front page has an article on frost bite this week... should have some info there.Does anyone have any experience with frost bite?, If you look on the pic above on Asparagus's comb it has black tips, are they going to fall off? can i stop them falling off?
I had one of my girls do that. But where I am. The lowest it got was 35. So mine was not frost bite. That was a week ago. Now her are red again and didn't fall off.
