Are the last two pics of the chicks grown up with their mom?

She gets off of them to eat and drink but then goes back on them but when I have caught her off of them I have felt them and they don't feel as warm as they did previously! Just worried about the ambient temperature.... Supposed to get back up to above freezing by Sunday!

I didn't have -24* temps, but have had 0* to -5* temps with a broody and she hatched hers without problem... the eggs may be a day or so late due to the extreme cold but I wouldn't loose hope just because the temps have been so cold. Eggs seem to be very resilient and forgiving of small periods of heat and cold... and broody hens are awesome at being able to do what needs done no matter how miserable the weather is.

My frizzled Serama has been sitting on an egg and a golf ball for a couple of weeks now.  I candled the egg and it was clear, so I took one of the EE eggs out of the incubator and gave it to her.  Can't wait to see that little puff ball with her chick!  I wonder if she will notice that her "baby" is bigger than her with in a couple of weeks! :lau

Moms don't mind that kind of thing. lol
My dd is an inch taller than me and I don't mind. ;-)

Today or tomorrow should be hatching day. We only put under Blondy four eggs due to her size and the weather. Nothing yet. She has being so glued to the eggs, i have seen her only once out.

My hen isn't covering all of the eggs when she comes back from eating and drinking. This last time two were cold and one was barely warm. Should I bother let her keep sitting or try tracking down a few chicks? There are only 7, so she should be able to manage all of them. She's only on day 6.

If she can't cover all the eggs than take away how ever many she can't cover so they will all hatch around the same time and it's more comfortable and you don't want to many un der her she could smash them and it's not good if she can;t cover them all
