I just closed everyone up for the night and my lil hen is still on the eggs so tomorrow if she stays I'll have to move her because she is in the most used nest of course. so far 3 eggs under her.

good for you! Both my broodys broke. The young one gave up as 6 other Sumatra's use that nest. Turns out "mama" wasn't in the shed. But under it. I think she figured out real quick her eggs had frozen and weren't going to do anything. She is a smart one.

Aww thats too bad, I will have to move this hen or they will stepping all over her to lay their eggs in there tomorrow. I'll just have to close her up completely for a few days till she gets use to the new place. I can't remember but seems like last year this didn't start till march, I guess the crazy weather, we woke up to 57 this morning and now the wind is blowing like crazy and it's going to be in the low 20's tonight and the next 2 nights.

as requested... I dont have new pictures these are from when I brought them home.

I ordered fifteen girls and five boys but one of the girls arrived all splatted. The Feedstore gal took her home and taped her legs together but she didn't make it. It never occurred to me that I could purchase chicks through them and order up the sexes I wanted. I know the hatchery they get them from and they only sell to resale-rs so you cant even buy off their website. The beauty is No shipping and I didn't have to pay for the one that didn't make it.

They are getting big and have their tail feathers now.... I am taking them up to the house this weekend. Its been pretty mild so I suspect they will only need one more week inside then I can set up a brooder out in the coop where they can come and go to get warm if they need it.
