Aww, Cotton must be so proud! I love to see white silkie broody mamas, for some reason.

I've got a cochin & a D'anver on eggs right now & a buff silkie mama of month-olds.
 
i put only 2 white leghorn eggs under Cotton. Since it was a first for both of us, i was reserved to try for more....

still waiting on #2 egg. it pipped and zipped... waiting! waiting! waiting!
 
I went and checked on my 5 girls today and not so much as a pip.

I sure hope we have some chicks in those eggs or them girls are gonna be very disappointed. None have left the nest today, should I offer water? it's pretty cool too only in low 50's. I am a nervous ninny..
