My silky cross has gone broody again! I've put a few eggs under her, though I was a little picky this time and tried to get an egg from each of my hens-hopefully they'll all hatch! Her last set of babies aren't even fully grown yet, but I don't think she's likes them much when they're older. She just likes having baby chicks xD
That's a silky for you! My silky Topsy's last clutch turned 7 weeks old yesterday and she is laying in the corner of the coop right now - I braved the downpour to open the coop and saw her. I'm praying she's just laying and not trying to start another clutch. But she was doing the characteristic cover herself with straw bit so no one will see her laying there with her eggs.
