WE HEAR PEEPS!! My daughter called me at work after she went to check on the broody. She didn't even say hello when I answered just said, "I HEAR PEEPING COMING OUT FROM UNDER JANICE!!"

I had already worked through lunch so I could leave early. My boss & two of my co-workers said "Hurry, you've got to leave!!" So nice to work with good people!

We haven't seen them yet. Momma keeps readjusting herself so I'm thinking that means we've still go some eggs to go.

7 new babies!
Any idea what the one in the middle down the bottom is?!
We got 2 x RIR's, 2 x Barnevelders, 1 x Australorp, 1 x Sussex and 1 x Mystery! I'm thinking it's the one in the middle, bottom that's the mystery...

Yeah! Leave her to hatch them without peeking and you will be very happy tomorrow. :)

Well my hens are actually terrified of Asparagus, they like to keep well away from him, they all hide behind the old cockerel so he can protect them!

Poor Topsy. I worry about her. She has really bad rooster damage on her back. And now she also has two gashes from his nails. I put Nustock on them but I'm thinking I may have to isolate her for a couple of weeks.

could she tolerate a hen apron?  We put them on ours once in a while and they do fine with them...

I tried that on my White leghorn and Ancona hens when they were bare backed for a time in the past. They hated them. I suppose its an option if she starts getting hurt more. I may pick up a dog crate tomorrow to isolate her for a time. That way if I need it for a broody later I'll have it. I should have just let her hatch some eggs and no one would have been mating her!
