Old Fashioned Broody Hen Hatch A Long and Informational Thread

I would candle them for signs of life and place them into an incubator... you may be able to use a heating pad or heat lamp to keep them warm till you get an incubator set up

I'm newer to this whole thing so I don't have an incubator yet. But I think she sat back on them. Let's hope in the next four days she doesn't abandon them. :fl

yeah i have heard that the store bought ones come with a already made automatic egg turner that would be so much more awesome then having to make one from scratch. But i also heard that the temp meter can lie so be careful

My genesis is absolutely wonderful! I keep a thermometer in it and it hasn't budged off of the set temperature. Love the turner, I got 4 of them free from a friend and I don't know that I would be able to incubate without them.

i wish incubators weren't so expensive i would love not having to run to mine even few hours to make sure the temp didn't spike.....again
