They are adorable!!! And so cool to see them outside already...so much for having to keep chicks in a 90 degree brooder! great to see them already acting like little chickens!

Chickens are never fool proof!![]()
My new chicken condo is open for business! I thought I'd have trouble with the hens, but it was the two roosters that caused the most ruckus. They are not happy at all being separated from their girls. I had the two roosters separated and supposedly could not see each other, but of course, they managed to find one tiny hole to peck at each other through. Before I knew it, both of their combs were bloody. Soooooo, I moved one to the second floor, they definitely cannot get anywhere near each other now. Have to rethink the rooster apartments, but right now I'm tired and it can wait a few days. One of the roosters is heading to the stew pot anyway, so I could probably wait quite a while before I have to rethink the apartments.
Anyway, thought I'd give everyone an update. The hens have done a bit of pecking at each other, but nothing serious at all. No chasing, I put two waterers and two feeders out so that they don't have to crowd each other to eat and drink. I guess the real test will be tonight when they go into the new home to roost.
