new mama Sumatra got off her nest for a few to teach the 2 oldest to eat and drink. If I counted correctly, there were 7 fuzzy butts. She is back in the nest on eggs, with little ones.

And EEWWWW!!!! Nasty Broody poop!

We are on day 20 over here at first-timer-central. I thought the thread could use some more cute pics. I know many of us have the 19th as the day. Good luck everyone!
When I went out to get the girls to move them into the garage brooder bin, they had conveniently moved themselves and all the eggs into the same nest box. They have kicked out two more eggs. Sitting on 14 total now. I am getting so nervous. I really hope some hatch. I candled the two they kicked out yesterday and one was undeveloped and porous and the other was partial.

This was the scene:

I took a chance and pulled the nest box just like that and carried it with them both on it to the garage. They were stuck like glue and made no complaints.

Here is Little Bit, happy broody, after she was all settled on her own nest/eggs in the stock tank bin. She is the one due to hatch Thursday.

ONE OF MOLLY'S EGGS HATCHED!!!! It's so cute! Still not all the way dry so I just took a peek at it, but it is very adorable! One left to go!

I might have 8 little ones now. They move around so fast, I think it is 8... could be 7, but I'm leaning towards 8. Mama Sumatra is back on her eggs again with her little ones.

WOW! It's so busy on here!!!!! You guys are all so lucky with all your broodies and hatchlings! CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU ALL!!!

On this side of the pond, Hermione has finally gone broody again, so I'm going to try one more time with the buff sussex!

I live in Jersey, so any eggs have to come by post from the mainland ( Was 2 days last time!)

Last year I had 5 buff sussex eggs and 5 cream legbar. Only one of each hatched, both were roos. The legbar broke a leg in February, and the buffy is a lovely shiny white with the black markings! Funnily enough I'm not buying from that person again!

This year I had 10 buffies for Hermione and lost the whole clutch! One did hatch but got stuck inthe shelland didn't make it, and 2 more were moving and peeping but never even pipped!

So wish us luck, please!!!!!
