Old Fashioned Broody Hen Hatch A Long and Informational Thread

Okay so I was on here a few days ago and I was have issues with my hen and eggs that hatched but she was sitting on eggs that won't hatch for another week and 1/2. After talk with a few people decided to put the rest of the eggs in my bator. So in the bator they went! All was good for about a day. My hen started being really loud and kept pecking at her chicks, so I decided to take her back out to the coop. she seemed to be so happy when I took her outside, so I left her. About an hour or so later, I went out to collect eggs, and there she was sitting on all the eggs, and very very upset at me when I tried to take them. So, she is now back in the nursery wing (a little cage with a nest box in it) sitting on her eggs I took away yesterday!!! Here I was all worried and didn't know what to do... Guess I should have just asked her!!! lol

Update of my post from yesterday: Out of my 3 broody hens in the broody pen, one has 2 chicks (she decided that was enough and got off the rest of her eggs), one has 4 chicks and still sitting on a few eggs, and the third hasn't had any eggs hatch yet-------she's now sitting on quite a few, as I put the eggs the first hen abandoned under her. It's so neat to watch the hens with their babies under them------they haven't taken them out in the run yet, as far as I know.
