very good! TY!

on a sad note, it was a bad night on Stonykill Farm. A weasle found it's way into a coop, and killed 5 Sumatra hens, 2 Sumatra roo's, and my only 2 Black Austrolop/Sumatra mixes. 1 roo, 1 hen. So today is tighten up coop day, and process dead chickens day.

It got in there thru a tiny hole, and ate only the necks of the chickens. I am now at war!

Oh stony I am so sorry to hear about your birds, that is so sad,

I nearly had heart failure this afternoon! Went out to bring the horses in at 4 PM and did a quick check on the free-rangers. Broody Mama was in her usual 4 o'clock spot with just 2 of the kids. Lordy, lordy, lordy - where is number 3???? Complete panic. I ran around looking in all the usual spots. Not a trace. I finally gave up and started checking on the rest of the flock - and there was Olive - out there scratching with all the BIG girls.

I guess Olive figures she doesn't need mothering anymore! (Although when I smuggled the raisins out for mama and the kids - Olive reappeared in a BIG hurry!!

) I'm figuring this one is going to be VERY good at taking care of herself.)

PS. We are 8 weeks old today.
