Aahh but they have come up with the speed on the DSLRS The slow speed i was refering to is with the little point and shoot cameras. I am seeing shutter speeds with DSLRS that are coming up to the same speed as a full SLR. Four to five shots under a second. I also want to be able to take a blurry picture on occasion. or capture motion in the wings or horses legs..... I am just waiting for the prices to come down.... Sigh.

Do check out the Canon EOS Rebels. VERY reasonable prices and they can capture this ....

One of my EE hens that does NOT like the boys. Young Ameraucana cockerel attempting to change her mind - but NOT making any progress

That's my big brave snow hating BCM cockerel running for cover behind him!!!

Oh I LOVE it..... That is one fiesty hen.... I loved the boys Exiting stage right.

I was on Craigslist and the Cannons were pretty reasonably priced. I gravitate toward Canon's because of the one I had before. I even rode with it with a home made stabilizer harness complete with velcro to make it easy to grab and shoot. I never got tired of taking pictures through my horses ears. He could spot a deer and I would line up through her ears as a range finder and sure enough there would be one frozen in the Chaparal hoping to be invisible.

That's cool!

We have quite a few pics like that.

Also of a cob-shaped shaddow with rider on the beach. And one or two with a really good bit of scenery and a bit of well-hogged neck!

That's AWESOME, perchie! Next time I'm in L.A., I'm going to have to make a point of visiting you!!!!

(And, yes, Miss Lydia, it's Lake Erie. The horse that I was on in that picture, Silk, he LOVED the water. Would swim at ANY opportunity. Fabulous for giving youngsters confidence about water.)
