I'm getting very excited, and nervous at the same time.
My last attempt at hatching silkies was a disaster. I know part of it was due to the horrible air cells, but right at the end I had 4 die before hatching, and a 5th hatched, but with help and was extremely sticky. I really wonder if a lot of it was incubation issues? Humidity or something. So now I'm trying, again with bad air cells, under my broody. I started with 8 eggs. 1 never developed and 2 died early on. Right now, on Day...14 I have 5 left under her and they are all developing like they should. 1 "good" air cell, the rest stretch down the side of the egg, so I am nervous. I sure hope mama Hen does well!
I also just got 6 more eggs in the mail and I'm going to set them in the deathbator and I wish I had another broody to try them under. Again, bad air cells, but I'm praying these hatch.
