I hope not!
Okay I have to share this because it's so funny, there were 9 duck eggs inside my ducks bedroom this morning no ducks have been interested in sitting on them, I have them all marked, went in to their house a few times today to see if I could clean but one of my cochin bantams was sitting on the eggs so i figured she was laying her egg, well I went back out a few hours later and she was still there so I picked her up and there was no chicken egg under her she was sitting on just the duck eggs. So I think what the heck I'll take 3 of the eggs and take them and her and put them into the large dog kennel I have set up in my other building. well she goes in but doesn't want to stay goes back and gets on the other duck eggs.

well by now it's getting time to put everyone up so my 2 Muscovy ducks who share this bedroom go inside and immediately one of the ducks goes and gets on the eggs and my little hen is wanting inside real bad so i open the door and my one duck jumps out because she doesn't want to be in there if her sissy is going to sit on the eggs. and the other duck meets my bantam at the door and gives her that look [you know the one that says you try coming in here and you'll be sorry] look. well I take my one duck and put her in the dog kennel with the 3 duck eggs which she isn't happy about ,my other duck goes back and gets on the eggs and my bantam goes into her side of the chicken coop but when I go into count heads she lets me know she is not happy at all. So this is what I have to look forward to this spring. At least the new mama and her chicks are happily in another building and have no idea whats going on... anyone else have an exciting day?

lol Nothing like that. I did notice "Mama" is laying again, and in the tin shed where she raised 2 broods last year. I found her nest, and added a few eggs. Enabling. Yup, she is enabling ME

with enough eggs there, she will sit, it's only a matter of time. It's not cold here, I should just add 6 more eggs and speed up her process. She never needs much coaxing
