licorice, my cochin broody from heck hatched out 2 eggs from boaz and ginger his oegb hen, although i don't think they are serama, possibly leftover from her previous home- i set these eggs a week after putting her in with boaz, the serama roo

Got my three little chicks today and put them under the broody mom tonight 

How did she do? Hoping she took them without problems.

Me too, plus be very careful using Blue kote around their faces, not suppose to get it in their eyes or mouth. us a cotton ball or qtip to put it on. and be very careful the stuff stains anything it touches.

How did she do? Hoping she took them without problems.

So far so good. I've been getting ready for work but my husband has been out since first light and she hasn't moved they have peeked out a couple of times and she hasn't made any aggresive move on them or anything. When I took them out last night they were peeping and she kept looking under her at her eggs, like what going on down there! lol I took her eggs when I put the chicks out. Hope she can't count she only had 2 eggs and now she has 3 chicks.

Well I still only have 1 baby so maybe my guess of when the eggs were set wasn't that far off ..... I think this one was just early!
Mama Hen Caesar is not moving off her nest at all BUT the baby came out for a minute yesterday before caesar pecked her back under.....

SO CUTE!!!! I think the others are due to hatch tomorrow??? or so ......
