The chickens sneak in there to lay there eggs when she's not watching. We dont have any other ducks sigh

Well you'd be able to tell their eggs from hers. sounds like she wants to get it over with and not have to go broody again this year.

They can, I have one broody right now sitting on nothing, she finally laid out and no one dare go into her nest to lay, so we'll see how long it takes for her to get over it. She may be this way all summer. the other wanna be I had to run out of her nest this morning and lock the door, she shares a bedroom with her sister and was being so snotty to her I have to put an end to it since I have no place to put Ruthie till Emmie gets over her hormonal adventure. she is not happy with me at the moment. and then I have 7 girls who have so far shown no desire to go broody, thank goodness. and most are laying every day.It is exciting what is your hatch date? I have for mine May 29-31. There always seems to be 1 that will hatch early.

I have no clue what my hatch date is. Since she's on & off the nest

this morning when I let her out she went back in & sat right away. Now she's sitting in the run & has been for a while. She better get cooking them eggs soon I am getting impatient here

my duck went broody today she is on the nest of 15 eggs when i go near her she like hisses at me and tries to bite me and if she gets off to come at me she gets her head waving around well hissing and she is still on the nest so im guessing she is broody she got hay all up around the nest now to and she is like buried in hay so ya i think she is broody
