I have an older hen not sure of age she was on the property when I bought it thats what started all this. She is a RIR the "coop" she was in was not set up well at all she free ranged all the time and whnt in at night i think. Anyway I found her in the Coop sitting on a dozen egg she was in a little spot on the floor behind a board leaning up against the wall. I have done a lot of work on the coop and it is pretty nice now except for a couple leaks in the roof there are buckets under them so the litter does not get wet. anyway here is the question should I leave her little spot where she nests or take it away and hope she uses the nesting boxes? she free ranges her little board got moved a while back so she couldnt get in her spot and I found eggs in a tool box. in a different part of the barn

If it is in the coop and safe n dry just leave her to finish hatching.
I would only move her & the eggs if she was not safe.

leave her along she will be fine.. has she had a rooster running with her?

OOops I missed that last sentence part about her spot changing.
yeah try to see if you can get her interested in the nest box. Is she mainly laying on the ground areas? How high are the nest boxes? She may need a lower box then the others but safe.
