(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? My man and I have been keeping chickens for more than 10 years.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? We have 14 chickens now - 12 hens and two roosters.
(3) What breeds do you have? We have mostly mixed breed chickens, and one (permanently broody) Buff Orpington.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? I love their colorful antics and plumage, and of course, their delicious eggs.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? We enjoy other outdoor activities such as gardening, hiking, fishing, kayaking, boating and camping.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. We have two indoor cats, one ball python (and raise some mice to feed it), 1 mixed breed rescue dog, and are enjoying our retirement.
