Hi all! I'm so glad to have found this site again! I've had a few chicken "babies" in the past, but am just getting back into chicken raising again after moving from Florida to the beautiful state of Kentucky. I've discovered that I'd forgotten so much of what I used to know, that this site will once again be a true God send, hehe.
I'm also new to raising chickens in the southern Kentucky climate (being particularly concerned about the winter months), so I'm sure I'll be scouring these threads daily for quite a while to come. Both for learning and information gathering, but for enjoyment as well. I just got two White Plymouth Rock pullets who should start to lay around the first of August. I'm so excited!! I haven't yet "named" them, but will post as soon as they earn a moniker, lol. My chicken babies have always been for egg production and pets only, so this is a very happy time for me again! Thanks in advance for everyone's help! I'm sure I'll be spending a LOT of spare time on here in the weeks to come..
