Hey everyone! We are returning 9 yr members of BYC. As happens from time to time, we had some changes in our lives and had to give up our chicken raisin' a while back. Now we are ready to start again. I decided to just use the sample questionaire to let you know a little about us and we will add to it from there.
Commence the questions...
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? We aren't new to raising chickens. We took some time off from it and are starting back again. We got our first chickens about 9 years ago.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? We currently have `17 Chickens
(3) What breeds do you have? All Rhode Island Reds
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Has to be collecting and eating eggs
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Homesteading the best we know how, Building and restoring furniture, my wife is a published author and fantastic cook and I mow a lot of grass among other things.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Wife: Former teacher, Pilates and Yoga instructor, Save-a-life volunteer, Published Author and Great cook.
Husband: Former teacher, retired Restaurant Manager, Amatuer woodworker,
Pets: 2 dogs (Lucky and Frankie) 5 cats (Tennessee Tuxedo "gentleman Cat", Oscar, Little Cat, Doofenschmirtz "Doof" for short, and Fluffy Cat, and 17 chickens (unnamed)
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
9 year members after having stumbled upon BYC while learnning about raising Chickens.
