We went to the Smokey Mountains on vacation recently and they had a rustic old farm from the late 19th Century set up for touring. It looked like "Little House on the Prairie". I thought the old Chicken House was cool and they had one lonely Roo occupying the farm. Poor guy, he needs some company....he started following me around!

What breed is he?

Awww, I wonder if someone dumped him there. That is a neat place to go. During the summer they have living exhibits going on-or they did at one time.

I was wondering if maybe they brought in animals in the summer for show. There is a complete farm there with a barn, pig pen, garden and cow pasture. Maybe they couldn't catch the roo to take him back to his permanent home with the hens...

I think he is a Dominique Mix....maybe with game bird?

Yes, they did have living animals there. They had gardens and usually had demonstrations of how folks lived way back then. Used to allow visitors to taste the home-made food, too!
