old Silkie rooster and fertilty

Hi I have a friend who has 4-5 year old Silkie Rooster he is yes big and 1 of his hens went broody sitting on 15 eggs and ALL OF Them were INFERTILE I am wondering if there is a way of getting him back in to being fertile or preventing this from happening again . Thank you

It could also be related to feed but if no other roosters are having the same fertility issues then you should be able to rule that out.
Also some roo's will favor one hen ind if you are not getting her eggs then there may not be anything left for the others.

well my friend only has 1silkie hen he keeps them as a pair in his coop
