In the Brooder
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Yes - very new. Have four two or three week old hens and finishing their outdoor area / coop. We also have peafowl - that's how I keep finding the forums and answers.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Four pullets and five yearling or more peafowl, plus two chicks.
(3) What breeds do you have?
Two Plymouth Rocks, Two Leghorns (chickens). Silver pied peacock. India blue peacock. Three hens of various types.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Collecting eggs and hearing their noises.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Photography, Jeeping
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Have just one older dog, Teddy Roosevelt Jr., an English Bull Terrier. He's not good with other animals but seems to ignore the fowl (mostly). I'm retired military, wife (and menagerie owner) is in healthcare.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Keep getting google hits for questions, have a very sick peachick and someone commented on another thread that more information might shape better advice, so I went ahead to keep up.
