Was told I needed to introduce myself so.... Served in the USAF for 38 years rising to the rank of Colonel before retiring to a
ranch in central Texas where my wife and I raise exotics. To help replenish the population, we started raising quail about 4 years ago. We now sit on the porch in the mornings with our coffee and can hear several different coveys. We have hatched and turned out over 500 birds over this period and, with exception of the normal and expected chick losses, have not had a problem until this last batch. Recently hatched out 45 of 50 eggs and placed the dried chicks in our brooder. Every thing is the same as all the other times. But after 2 weeks, this batch have started to appear to have a neurological problem and have began dying! Over the last week I have lost all but 5. They appeared active and healthy for the first two weeks. Any suggestions?
