Older chicken wanted

I'm looking for an older Hen to go with my 9 year old Hen. She is presently a lone.

Okay, cool, here are some ideas. See if there's an animal rescue in your area, call around to a couple feed stores or Tractor Supplies, look up local breeders, and see if there's an area poultry group on Facebook (if you use facebook). Rescues end up with more chickens than you would think, the feed store/TSC employees often know of people that have chickens for adoption, or a local breeder might have a hen that's ready to retire.

Just be aware you may need to gain someone's trust before they offer you an older hen. I used to do wildlife rescue work in Orlando, and people like chickens to feed to their large exotic pets and alligators. Sometimes they aren't very honest with people in acquiring them.

Petfinder.com also occasionally has hens, though most are roosters.
