Might be a hard "sell" in general but let us know where you are and, if you know, the types of hens. I've seen people post on craigslist and sell/donate to people for consumption.

More info needed..specifically where are you located.
And how old are birds?
They may just be taking a winter break to molt and rest if you live in the northern hemisphere.
What breeds?
