Older eggs?

could any of these still hatch. I want a cukoo maran, really just one or two hens..do u think it is possible for any to make it?

I don't know about hatch rate of that old of eggs. If you have the money to take a chance than go for it.

Well... It's a betting game... and they are shipped... I have gotten about 30% of eggs from a bunch that sat out for 3 weeks though to be viable up to day 16.

The seller has good feedback and you can be pretty sure that hatch rate will not be greater than 50% after shipping. If you only want a few you might be better to wait on a smaller offering. If you have room to incubate them then you might try it. I have sent eggs to people with the understanding that some were older (7 days) eggs and they had fairly good hatch rate.

yeah i thought the price was right! Somehow I got a bug to have all different colors of eggs, so i need the dark brown cukoo maran eggs yet!

I don't know why we don't trade our own eggs here.
There must be plenty of people here that could do that.
Then if the hatch rate isn't all that good we aren't out all that much.
I also think that they should line the boxes they mail them in with tinfoil to cut down on the x-rays.
If they want to see what's inside let them open the boxes.
I had too many come and after waiting 10 days or so candled them to find only one or two fertile the rest must have been x-rayed or the haet in the trucks too great.
Just a thought.
