oldest before crowing

I would like to know how old people roosters were when they began to crow, mine is about 14 weeks old and we have a rooster down the road crowing but have not heard a crow or anything like it yet, so Im just wondering do some kinds crow sooner, or each different, also wouldn't hearing a rooster so often help him get going?

All of mine started at different ages. I have noticed that my bantams start earlier than my standards. I think them hearing another rooster helps them learn, but who knows. I have a cochin roo that I thought would never start, he was as big as his dad before he started!!
