Two questions.. what is somones oldest chicken to survive? What is someones oldest to lay? Dont for breed

mine was 17years barred rock never stoped laying just slowed down

I had a black jersey giant hen who lived until 14. Pretty sure she stopped laying a long time before she died! She died last year, but was my very first chicken.

My family has a six-year-old Easter Egger, who still lays eggs when she feels like it. You guys had some amazing birds, I can hardly imagine a chicken living that long.

We had a silver laced leghorn hen that lived to 14 also.

I had a White Crested Black Polish hen that live for 13 years and Silver laced Polish that lived for almost 14 years. Something about Polishes and long lives. I now have a Polish roo who is nine. EE hen lived for 13 years. She laid for 11 years.

My oldest living right now is Precious, my 13 year old Porcelain Belgian D'Uccle.
