Olive Egger Chick

Just got our cute little bunch of babies and got an Olive Egger! She has feathered feet! We are so excited for her! Anyone else have a olive egger baby that looked like this? What did she grow up to look like?

She looks exactly like the one I got from Meyer--including the feathered feet!

Mine is only 7 weeks on. But, she looks exactly like my copper Marans at this point.

She is most likely going to be pure black but if she's bred to an EE then there could be lacing and such develop later. She is SO cute!

Yup. She may look like either of these although looks like she’s on the darker side.

Both are gorgeous!!!! Are your girls laying Olive eggs? Some people have said theirs have laid a cream/beige egg. The hatchery said they used black copper maran, ameracauna, and welsummers for the olive eggers. I think my chick is more on the maran/ameracaua side.

Both are gorgeous!!!! Are your girls laying Olive eggs? Some people have said theirs have laid a cream/beige egg. The hatchery said they used black copper maran, ameracauna, and welsummers for the olive eggers. I think my chick is more on the maran/ameracaua side.

They lay very light green eggs. I crossed them with a BCM roo and those girls lay true “olive” eggs.
