Olive Egger Eggs

Are an olive egger hen's first eggs green or do they start of pale? My Olive Egged has not been laying any green eggs and I was wondering if the small pale ones I have been getting are hers. She is an f2 olive egger.

A hen lays an egg that is either base blue or base white. That does not change. That’s genetic. The green or brown shade can and probably will change some but the base color does not change. The green or brown is just brown added to the base color.

If it is your olive-egger laying those eggs and they are not blue or green, she did not inherit a blue egg shell gene from either parent. That happens a lot with crosses. She will never lay a blue or green egg.
