Olive Egger look like Barred Rock

Any particular type?
@ShrekDawg gave some great breed suggestions. There are breeds that are known to be more friendly than others, as they stated, such as the Cochin or Orpington. However, always remember that every chicken has their own personality and not always go by their breed's average general personality. I have a Cochin Bantam rooster and he hates me and really likes the hens. I have had Orpington females, not males, but they have been very standoffish and weird about human attention. My current one screams at me when I pick her up like she is getting killed. That is an example of how a breed's average personality does not always persist. Always remember that your climate and environment is a controlling factor of which breed you choose as well. What is your climate like? Cochins and Orpingtons both prefer colder temperatures, especially the Cochins.

Searching for barred crested chickens I came across this thread. Curious is anyone think this is an olive egger too? And possibly a cockerel?

Definitely does look like an OE. How old is he/she? I’m not seeing anything that says cockerel for now.
Also, you can kinda see the other one that looks like a sibling hiding behind. The comb and wattles on that one are smaller and less pink. The barring is less prominent on that one too compared to the one in front.

I got it from a feed store with the other two in that run. They said all the chicks were 1.5-2.5 months old. The barred ones are decent sized. I’m thinking they’re 2-2.5 months old.
I’m sticking with pullet. That comb is a bit big, but it’s still pale. Plus she’s likely a Legbar mix, judging from the crest, and they often have large floppy combs as hens. Her body looks to have more pullet proportions, she’s not as gangly as a cockerel would likely be. You should be able to tell for sure in a few weeks, so feel free to update with the result! :)

Looking at her again, I'm switchng back to pullet based on the barring. I know it's not 100% depending on the breed mixed with the Legbar but if she's BR, her barring looks female.

Yay I hope pullet! It’s such a sweet bird and so soft. I want to be able to keep it!

@Chickbemine sorry for asking on your thread! There are some very smart people on here 😍
