Sooo a little over 6 weeks ago we got 3 Lavender Orpingtons, 3 Buff Orpingtons, and 6 Olive Eggers... my question is, did we actually get olive eggers or something different cause idk anymore lol 5 of them are that black and white color and then there's Smokey, who is grey.... I am pretty new to chickens so I honestly don't know😅

Olive Egger tells what color of eggs they should lay. You will have to wait until they grow up to check that.

Olive Eggers can have many different appearances. Some Olive Eggers look like the chickens you have, but some other breeds also look like the chickens you have, so I'm not sure.

Ah OK! I didn't know that, I guess I'll find out once they start laying eggs then lol... thanks for the help!

Olive eggers are a hybrid "breed" of chicken. They are created by breeding a brown egg chicken and a blue egg chicken together. The result is a chicken who lays green eggs. Because there are several different brown and blue egg chicken breeds that can be crossed, olive eggers can have a wide variety of appearances.

That is true! I didn't think about that and now I feel really dumb making this post🤦‍♀️
