My friend and I each bought 12 blue and olive hatching eggs from a lady that is relatively local to us. My eggs go into lockdown in a few days and as of right now majority of my eggs never even started developing. When I candle all I see is the yolk. No growth. No veins. Only yolk. I also have 10 marans eggs in with them and they seem to be developing fine. My friend has 3 out of her 12 that went into lockdown and is waiting to see if they hatch. I messaged the lady asking if they were possibly older eggs as we were having poor outcomes. She told me that we should have dry hatched them because marans and olives are sensitive to humidity. While I understand some people do dry hatch would that have caused such poor development? Enough to the point that none of them would have even started developing? The marans seem fine but they came from a different breeder. I know high humidity causes problems after internally pipping and drowning. But to not even start developing seems like she might be using the humidity as an excuse. What are yalls thoughts?
