Hi all-

(edited to add- we are all set now, thank you all!!)

My daughter (horsefeathers here on BYC)has been dying to let our hen hatch eggs. (Truthfully, we all have!) We've been waiting all spring for her to go broody and now she is. But our local source for eggs fell through!!

Olivia prefers something "purebred" so she might be able to show them; personally I want strong-laying breeds (pretty eggs a plus). All heritage breeds, welsummers, Ameraucanas, etc.

What do folks have available right now?

Thank you!!

The only thing I have that is purebred and possibly showable are bantam cochins, but they aren't much for laying. I'm sure someone will come along!

Please pm me if you have questions. We'd love to serve your egg needs. Feel free to check out feedback on me as well.

We take great care of our blessed Flock and wrap these eggs so carefully and pray over each one as we wrap....

Please let me know if you have any questions and I will provide a sampler box, with the eggs of your choosing as well.

Have a blessed day!

SeaChick, when did Envirogirl morph into Horsefeathers?

I hope you find eggs!

Thanks everyone!! WE've found several nice folks here and ordered some eggs, should arrive around Friday. WE're very escited!!

Buff Hooligans- Olivia changed her screen name I think about a year ago. She's still on here all the time.... we bought a new house last fall and I have been so overwhelmingly busy with the major renovation that I haven't spent much time here myself lately. I have also been teaching "Backyard Chickens 101" classes locally. There has been overwhelming demand for the class as several local towns/cities recently changed ordinances to allow hens (including Maine's biggest city, Portland).

I am sure that Horsefeathers will post lots of pics of Olympia and her chicks if all goes well!
