Zane doesn't stay in there 24/7. On nice days, he gets out to sunbathe and see things. He has one window slightly over his head on one side and Suede's big one we recently installed on the other, plus sometimes I put Gypsy in there with him and he flirts with her.

He's very affectionate, yes. His cage is at my chest level and sometimes, he "runs" up to the front and throws himself against me and wants me to put my arms around him. He leans against me and lets me put my face against him. If I reach in and ask him if I can pet my baby rooster, which is what I've always called him and he knows what's coming, he holds perfectly still for me to stroke his face and earlobes. He's a doll, he really is. I have no idea how long he can live this way, but he seems to do okay. He'll be 3 yrs old in November.

If it ever gets to be too much for ya Cyn [though I couldn't even imagine that] and you need to rehome Zane, I hope you'll let me have the honor. Such a beautiful and magnificent man!
