That looks like a small one. The Asian hornets are supposed to be larger than the European hornets and those things get huge. I had a hive of them on my land in North Carolina.

I had a nest of European Hornets in between the logs in the corner of my house.

So was I. Was the bedroom wall corner. You should hear them chewing. I swore they were going to chew right through the wall and into the bedroom. I shut the door and stuffed a towel under it. Slept in the living room until they were taken care of.
