What is a good ratio of omega's 3:6:9 for chickens?
Apparently 2:1:1 is good for humans, but I could imagine that chickens have different needs. I read that omega 6 is the more important one for chickens. At this point I'm thinking I'll do a 1:1:1 ratio.
I'm asking because I am planning on making my own breeding aid oil for my chooks and parrots to supplement when laying eggs. I hope that by using cod liver oil, sunflower oil and olive and/or macadamia oil I can make a supplement that's as effective or close to the store bought stuff. It will be a way cheaper option if they benefit.
Any advice?
